Announcements:

• Steve S was recognised with a Paul Harris Award + 7
• Rotarian of the Month awarded to Jack Petrie.
• Dec 1^st Christmas lunch reminder (and complimentary music concert arranged by Jack) . Thos who put their name down but do not attend will still be liable for the $25.
• Janette offered Thrifty smile cards. These can be loaded with $ at the checkout and used to buy groceries. Thriftys donates 5% of the face value and this goes towards funding 2 band saws for Rock Heights Middle School and the purchase of paintable tiles for the South Park School tile project.
• Jim and Mandy announced the next club-in-a-pub on Nov 26^th at Maude Hunter's Pub at Shelbourne and Cedar Hill Cross Road - $15 burger special, with $5 going to the Syrian Refugee Fund
• Mandy also told members about the Dec 6^th Jazz Fundraiser at Jazz Vespers. Admission is by donation to the Syrian Refugee Fund. Any donations of $10 or more can be tax-receiptable, and each dollar is matched by an anonymous donor.  If anyone wants to donate and is unable to attend, please speak to Mandy.
• Rod Sims requested commitments to attend the Frank Sinatra concert from each member.
• Two Salvation Army kettle bell ringers were recruited – Lorna C and Joan F. Thanks ladies!
• Rod Sims provided a summary of the Pole ceremony that took place last weekend at Oak Bay High.

Tom Croft was recognized for having been a Rotarian for 30 years

Every member of the club is also member of foundation

Agenda, minutes of 2014 AGM, President’s record and Treasurer’s report were approved.

The Rotary Foundation committee in the next year will be made up of Ron Cooley, Tav, Jim Force, Steve, Joan Peggs and Janette .

Election of incoming officers will be on Dec 8^th.

The meeting was closed at 1:30pm with the French National Anthem.
